What is Trofolastín Breast Scar Reducer?

Trofolastín Breast Scar Reducer is a dressing for the treatment of recent or old Hypertrophic Breast Scars. o Periareolar or "inverted T" keloids due to plastic or reconstructive surgery.

These Breast Scar Reducing dressings are made up of two layers :

• The external surface is a microporous polyurethane membrane .
• The interior is an adherent acrylic film to facilitate its attachment to the skin.

Trofolastín Breast Scar Reducer has been specially designed for application on scars produced as a result of plastic or reconstructive breast surgery , such as augmentation mammoplasties, breast reductions or breast elevation or modeling (mastopexy).

Trofolastin Breast Scar Reducer is indicated for the reduction of recent or old hypertrophic scars or periareolar keloids due to general or reconstructive surgery .

These Trofolastin dressings help prevent the formation of hypertrophic scars and protect scars from solar radiation.

How to apply Trofolastín Breast Scar Reducer?

1. Carefully clean and dry the scar area , checking that the skin is completely dry and without traces of cream, ointment or oil to facilitate the application of the Mammary Scar Reducer Trofolastín dressing .
2. Open the envelope and separate the protective layers of the long rectangular dressing . Place the dressing over the undermammary scar evenly , making sure that no folds form and that all edges are fixed to the skin. If it is necessary to cut the dressing to size before applying it, the protective layer should not be separated before cutting and it should be ensured that it is of sufficient size to adhere to the healthy skin surrounding the scar.
3. Open the sachet and gently separate the protective layers of the short rectangular dressing . Place the dressing on the vertical scar evenly (from the areola to the undermammary scar), making sure that no folds form and that all edges are fixed to the skin. If it is necessary to cut the dressing to size before applying it, the protective layer should not be separated before cutting and it should be ensured that it is of sufficient size to adhere to the healthy skin surrounding the scar.
4. Open the sachet and gently separate the protective layers of the circular dressing . Place the dressing evenly over the periareolar area , making sure that no folds form and that all edges are fixed to the skin. If it is necessary to cut the dressing to size before applying it, the protective layer should not be separated before cutting and it should be ensured that it is of sufficient size to adhere to the healthy skin surrounding the scar.
5. Once placed, the Trofolastín Breast Scar Reducer dressing can remain fixed on the skin surface for up to 7 days depending on the type of scar. The dressing is waterproof if it is applied without creasing and all edges are secured to the surrounding healthy skin. The dressing is for single use. If the dressing begins to peel off, replace it with a new Trofolastín Mammary Scar Reducer dressing .
6. To remove the dressing, gently lift one corner and carefully pull and lift the edges of the dressing until it separates from the skin.
