How to use Mepiform Scar Reducer Silicone Patch?
The ideal is to wear it 24 hours a day , and it is recommended to remove it during a shower or bath . The best results will occur after 2-4 months of treatment.
- Open the container and take out the dressing.
- Cut the dressing, if necessary, to fit the size of the wound. Leave 1 cm. or more on each side at least.
- When you apply Mepiform , check that the skin is dry. When used together with creams, make sure it has been well absorbed before applying.
- Remove the protective paper and apply Mepiform to the scar, exerting light pressure on the entire surface of the dressing. Avoid stretching it when applied to joints.
- Mepiform can be worn 24 hours a day, even during showering and bathing.
Daily skin inspection and washing is recommended. A Mepiform sheet can be worn for 7 or more days as it does not lose its microadhesion properties . A treatment duration of between 2 and 6 months is recommended depending on the conditions of the scar.
