Cistiseid is a nutritional supplement with components that contribute to the normal functioning of the urinary tract . Indicated for the prevention and treatment of urinary infections .

It acts on pathogenic bacteria, preventing their adhesion in the urinary tract.

Cistiseid contains D-mannose, dry cranberry extract (proanthocyanidins, PAC), live lactic ferments (Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus salivarius and Lactobacillus reuteri), vitamin C and vitamin D.

Cistiseid does not contain gluten or added lactose and is formulated for easy solubilization in water, with a mild and pleasant flavor.

Main components and properties of Cistiseid

• D-mannose : there are studies that explain the mechanism of action of this sugar on pathogenic bacteria, preventing their adhesion in the urinary tract. These bacteria are therefore eliminated with urine , thus reducing the bacterial load considerably, and therefore reducing the risk of infection . The amount of D-mannose used in these studies is 2 grams per day, so it is unknown if it could be effective at lower doses.
• PAC (cranberry proanthocyanidins) : traditionally used for their beneficial effect on the urinary tract, their mechanism of action is also believed to be by inhibiting the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria in the urinary tract . Recent scientific advances have shown that cranberry extract promotes the development of an environment that is unfavorable for the growth of the bacteria responsible for these infections .
• Live lactic ferments (Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus salivarius and Lactobacillus reuteri) : they interfere with the adhesion, growth and colonization of the urogenital epithelium by pathogenic bacteria. This interaction contributes to the maintenance and restoration of normal vaginal microflora.
• Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and vitamin D (cholecalciferol) : which help normalize the pH of urine that can be altered during the infectious process and contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

How is it taken?

Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass of water (150 ml), stir and drink.

• In the prevention of recurrent cystitis : It is recommended to take 1 sachet of Cistiseid per day , preferably before going to bed and after urinating, for a minimum of three months and up to 6 consecutive months.
• In the prevention of post-coital cystitis : It is recommended to take 1 sachet of Cistiseid per day , preferably before going to bed and after urinating, for two consecutive days.
• For the prevention of cystitis in periods of greater sensitivity : It is recommended to take 1 sachet of Cistiseid per day , preferably before going to bed and after urinating, during the risk period.

What are the most common symptoms of a lower urinary tract infection?

• Burning or painful sensation when urinating.
• Urgent need to urinate.
• Frequent need to urinate.
• Cloudy urine with a strong odor.
• Abdominal pain.
