Tanit's history dates back to 1989, when it was founded as part of the dermatology division of Laboratorios Viñas.
The first depigmentation product to hit the market is what is now known as Tanit Plus , whose formula included 1.5% hydroquinone. In addition, its successful launch was strengthened by a national radio campaign.
In 1990, Tanit joined the Pharma division of Laboratorios Viñas, and in 1993, the brand's first advertisement was broadcast on TV to motivate people to combat skin blemishes with appropriate creams.
