Retinol, when administered in a cream, must first be converted by the skin into retinaldehyde (or retinal) and then into retinoic acid, which is the molecule that has the anti-aging properties that we so seek. Retinal requires a single conversion to retinoic acid and is therefore up to 11 times faster than classic forms of retinol.

The advanced active is carefully encapsulated in a crystal structure that is broken down by the skin's natural enzymes upon topical application. This ensures maximum stability and absorption while allowing the active vitamin A to be gradually released into the skin while you sleep to ensure minimal irritation.

Combined with hydrating hyaluronic acid and soothing vitamin E, Crystal Retinal 3 targets fine lines and wrinkles for smooth, visibly youthful skin. Unlike other forms of vitamin A, retinaldehyde has direct and potent antibacterial properties. Directions for use: After cleansing at night, massage a small amount of Crystal Retinal onto your face, neck and décolleté. Let it absorb before applying moisturizer.

Crystal Retinal will be applied progressively. Use twice a week for the first 2 weeks, every other night for the next 2 weeks, then every night thereafter. Always wear sunscreen the next morning while using this product and for 1 week afterward. Do not use the product if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

If you have never used a product with Retinaldehyde before, start with Crystal Retinal 3 and when your skin tolerates it without problems you can move on to Crystal Retinal 6.
