How to Use Buona Spray-Sol Nebulizer 1 Unit

1. Separate a single-dose vial and open it by twisting the cap.

2. Aspirate the solution you wish to nebulize with the Luer Lock syringe:

• With Nebianax 3% and Nebianax Iso vials it is not necessary to use the cannula, since the opening of the vial fits perfectly into the Luer Lock syringe.
• With other types of vials and/or containers: attach the cannula to the syringe, aspirate the solution to be nebulized and then remove the cannula from the syringe.

3. Place the elephant-shaped syringe cover on the Spray-sol® nebulizer, making sure that the elephant face is facing the nebulizer and screw the syringe with the solution onto the inlet nozzle of the Spray-sol® nebulizer.

4. For infants and young children (under 3 years of age and in any case depending on their level of cooperation), wash with the patient lying on their side, keeping the head tilted and gently inserting the Spray-sol® nebuliser into the upper nostril. Press the syringe plunger to nebulise the solution. For older children and adults, hold the chest forward with the head tilted slightly to one side and insert the Spray-sol® nebuliser into the upper nostril. Press the syringe plunger to nebulise the solution, taking care that the coloured diffuser of the Spray-sol® nebuliser does not come loose from the transparent body.

5. Repeat the same operations as in step 4 in the other nostril, trying to evenly distribute the solution contained in the syringe between the two nostrils. During treatment, the nebulized solution may come out of the nose.

6. At the end of each use, before placing the devices in the box, wash them as described below:

• Wash the Spray-sol® nebuliser with warm running water, adding a drop of neutral (non-abrasive) soap. Before storing it, dry the Spray-sol® nebuliser with a soft cloth.
• Rinse the syringe barrel and plunger under running water and dry thoroughly before reassembling the syringe;
• Rinse the cannula both internally and externally with running water and allow it to air dry.
• Wash the elephant syringe cover and customisable box under running water and dry it with a soft cloth. Make sure all components are completely dry before storing them inside the customisable box.

It is intended for single patient use, but can be used for multiple nebulisations. Therefore, thorough cleaning after each use is very important to ensure optimal operation and to ensure its lifespan.

Precautions with Buona Spray-Sol Nebulizer 1 Unit

Use the product only for its intended use.

The use of the Spray-sol® nebuliser and cannula by children or non-self-sufficient persons must be carried out under the supervision of an adult who has read the instructions for use.

Do not use on children under three months.

Keep the product away from moisture, light and heat sources.

Before each use, check that the Spray-sol® devices, syringe and cannula are not damaged; if they are, do not use them for nebulisation.

Indicated for use by a single patient, but can be used for multiple nebulisations. To reuse it, clean it according to the instructions indicated above.

The supplied syringe can be reused several times as it is for nasal use.

Use the Spray-sol® nebulizer as long as the mechanical integrity and nebulization capacity of the solution is maintained.

It is advisable not to use the Spray-sol® nebulizer, syringe and cannula for more than 6 months from the first use.

After each use, place the Spray-sol® nebulizer, syringe, cannula and elephant-shaped syringe cover in the box, after having washed and dried them properly.
