What is a breastfeeding nipple shield?

It is a piece of silicone which goes over the nipple before breastfeeding to guarantee its protection . This has holes at the tip to allow milk to pass through.

How to use MEDELA Contact Nipple Shields 2 Units. Sizes

1. You should wash your hands with plenty of soap and water before touching the breast or nipple shield.
2. Wash the entire breast with a damp tissue (do not wash the nipples with soap or alcohol, as this can cause cracks in them)
3. You can moisten the nipple shield with water so that it can adhere to the skin easier. Press the tip almost all the way in, then grab the wings of the nipple shield. The holes should be covered with your middle finger and placed centered over the nipple.
