What is Cinfamucol Carbocisteine?
Carbocisteine, the active ingredient of this medication, belongs to the group of medications called mucolytics, which act by reducing the viscosity of the mucus, thinning it and facilitating its elimination.
It is indicated to facilitate the elimination of excess mucus and phlegm, in colds and flu for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.
How to take cinfamucol carbocisteine?
The recommended dosage is:
- Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: 1 sachet every 8 hours.
Do not take more than 3 sachets a day, divided into 3 doses. Once you see improvement, you can reduce to 2 sachets in 24 hours divided into 2 doses. - Use in children Children under 12 years of age cannot take this medicine.
How to take: Open the sachet and pour the contents directly into your mouth.
It is recommended to drink a glass of water after each dose and plenty of fluids throughout the day.
