What is VITA-POS Vitamin A Ophthalmic Ointment?

Ophthalmic ointment with vitamin A. It is indicated to improve the tear film and the protection of the ocular surface.

VitA-Pos Ointment is a nighttime eye moisturizer with Vitamin A and no preservatives .

This sterile vitamin A ophthalmic ointment contains 250 IU of retinyl palmitate/g (vitamin A), liquid paraffin, light liquid paraffin, lanolin and soft white petroleum jelly.

Each tube contains 5 gr.

The secretion of tears and their distribution across the ocular surface decreases during the night due to the absence of blinking . This condition is aggravated in those patients who have dry eye , and in some cases causes the eyelid to attach to the ocular surface. This union causes the patient to notice a lot of dryness in their eyes when they wake up.
