As a precaution, someone who has just suffered a heart attack should not take shark cartilage.

Not recommended during pregnancy, nor in women who want to become mothers, due to the fact that the cartilage could obstruct vascularization throughout the menstrual cycle.

It should not be used by a person undergoing an essential surgical intervention, as new blood vessels are required to achieve healing, nor by those following an intensive bodybuilding program, nor by children because their blood vessels are still in the development phase.
