MEDELA SpecialNeeds Bottle

It is a special bottle for those babies who are unable to create a vacuum due to certain syndromes and neurological disorders , or because they were born with a cleft lip or palate.

The SpecialNeeds bottle is designed to allow the baby to express milk by squeezing when he or she cannot create the vacuum necessary to extract it .

The one-way valve prevents air from entering the nipple . The caregiver can easily control the milk flow thanks to a split-valve mechanism.

It can be used with teats of two different sizes.

In addition, the SpecialNeeds bottle offers the opportunity to adjust the fluid flow to the infant's needs . Use the stripes on the teat to determine the fluid flow.

  • The shortest line corresponds to zero flow.
  • The middle part , with a medium flow.
  • The longest line , with the maximum flow .
  • To select a flow rate , align the corresponding line on the nipple with the infant's nose .

Medela SpecialNeeds Milk Flow Control Bottle

Choose zero flow (the shortest line ) if the infant needs to get used to the nipple before starting to feed .

Materials: Silicone valve membrane and nipple . The rest of the bottle is made of polypropylene.
